The idea
A drone closes the gap between alarm and eyes-on.
Cameras are fixed, guards walk a loop, and patrol vehicles take time. A docked drone is the fastest way to put a camera over any point on a large property, day or night. It does not replace guards or cameras — it closes the gap between an alarm going off and a human seeing what caused it.

Dock on site
A weather-sealed dock is installed on your roof or grounds, hardwired for power and network.

Scheduled patrols
The drone flies a pre-mapped route on a schedule — perimeter, gates, roof, laydown areas — and lands itself.

Launch on alarm
When a Verkada alarm or analytics event fires, the drone launches toward it automatically and is overhead in a minute or two.

Operators verify
Our live operators take control of the camera, confirm what is happening, and record everything.

Response
Operators trigger talk-down, dispatch police or a KingsGuard patrol, and can track a person leaving the site until help arrives.

Every flight is logged with its video, and clips are archived alongside your camera footage.
The hardware
A dock on site, ready around the clock.
We deploy the DJI Dock 3, a drone-in-a-box station that houses, charges, and protects a Matrice 4TD aircraft. The dock is rated IP56, operates from -30 °C to 50 °C, and the aircraft flies up to 54 minutes per sortie and recharges in about 27 minutes. The aircraft carries a wide, telephoto, and thermal camera plus a spotlight and loudspeaker. Docks can be fixed in place or vehicle-mounted for mobile operations.

Transport Canada rules effective November 4, 2025
New Transport Canada rules that came into force on November 4, 2025 allow beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations for routine, lower-risk flights — including security patrols — under certified operators with defined procedures. Every KingsGuard deployment starts with a site feasibility review that checks your airspace, maps the geofenced patrol route, and confirms the operation can run legally before a dock is ever installed. Flights are geofenced to your property, logged, and supervised by certified pilots.

Not every site needs a drone.
Dense urban blocks, sites under airport approach paths, and small properties where fixed cameras already see everything. We'll tell you if a drone is the wrong answer. Usually that means Verkada cameras with live monitoring, or a ground robot.
