TCG WATCH · BY KINGSGUARD

One shop's thief is every shop's alert.

Card shops protected by KingsGuard share one watchlist of people reported to police for theft or fraud. If someone on it walks into another member shop, the owner and our operators are alerted, and we contact the police.

The problem

Card thieves don't hit one shop. They work a region.

The shop that got hit has the footage. The next shop on their list doesn't.

TCG Watch closes that gap. Every member's report protects every other member.

How it works

From police report to alert

  1. 01

A member shop is hit and reports it to police.

The owner shares the police report and a photo of the person with KingsGuard.

  2. 02

The person is added to the watchlist.

A listing always has the police report and photo attached for reference. No police report, no listing.

  3. 03

Entrance cameras watch for listed faces.

Verkada cameras at the door of every member shop check visitors against the watchlist.

  4. 04

    A person checks every match.

A possible match goes to a KingsGuard operator first. The operator compares the live video with the listed photo before anyone is alerted.

  5. 05

The shop owner, KingsGuard, and police are alerted.

On a confirmed match, the shop owner gets an alert and our operator contacts police with the location, the original report, and a live description.

  6. 06

    Every alert is logged.

Each match, verification, and police contact is recorded.

When an alert arrives

What your staff do

Don't confront.

Staff never approach, question, or detain anyone because of an alert. Their safety comes first.

Observe and carry on.

Serve as normal and keep the person in view of the cameras.

Keep the cases closed.

Keep high-value singles and slabs in the case and out of hand.

Let us make the call.

Our operator is already watching and talking to police.

If it turns into a robbery.

If it turns into a robbery, press the panic button. It alerts our monitoring centre to get police dispatched, and if your shop has fog, it fills the room.

Listed only when

  • A crime at a member shop has been reported to police.
  • The police report and a photo of the person are attached to the listing.

Never listed for

  • Suspicion or a bad feeling.
  • Arguments, complaints, or trade disputes.
  • A tip with no police report.
  • Anyone a shop simply doesn't like.

The list is short because the bar is high.

Your entrance is where the network starts

Member shops need Verkada cameras installed by KingsGuard at the entrance, the posted signage, and live monitoring with us. Already have Verkada? We can usually add your shop without new hardware. Pricing depends on your shop, so get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
