TECHNOLOGY · PANIC BUTTONS

One press. Police called, room filled with fog.

KingsGuard panic buttons give your staff a way to call for help in a robbery or break-in during business hours. One press alerts our monitoring centre, which gets police dispatched. Connect the button to security fog, and the room fills before the intruder reaches the stock.

What it does

What a panic button does

Calls for help instantly.

A press goes straight to KingsGuard's 24/7 monitoring centre, which calls police for an immediate dispatch.

Fires the fog.

If the store has security fog, the button can trigger it, so the intruder loses sight of the cases, the stock and the door within seconds, according to UR Fog.

Works without a phone.

Nobody has to dial, talk, or be seen reaching for a phone.

Logs everything.

Every press is recorded with the time, the button and the camera footage, for police and insurers.

How it works

From press to police

  1. 01

A staff member presses the button.

Either fixed under the counter or carried as a wireless fob.

  2. 02

The alarm reaches our monitoring centre.

It arrives immediately, and the operator pulls up the store's live cameras.

  3. 03

    The fog fires, if set.

If the button is set to fog, the fog unit fires and the room fills, according to UR Fog, in seconds.

  4. 04

    Police are called.

The operator calls police for an immediate dispatch, with the location and a live description from the cameras.

  5. 05

The operator stays on the cameras.

They can speak through the store's talk-down speaker if needed, until police arrive.

  6. 06

    Clipped, refilled, reset.

The event is clipped for police and your insurer. We refill and reset the fog unit and test the button.

Button settings

Two ways to set each button

Fog + police

For grab-and-run thefts and forced entry while the store is open. The room fills, the intruder can't see what to take, and police are on the way.

Silent alarm

Nothing visible or audible happens in the store. Our monitoring centre is alerted, police are dispatched, and our operator watches, without escalating a situation where someone may be armed.

Many shops fit one of each: a fog button by the cases and a silent one at the till.

After pressing

What staff do after pressing

Press, then step away. Don't chase, block, or argue. If fog fires, stay low and move toward the exit or the back room you've practised. Our operator is already calling police and watching the cameras. Every shop gets a staff training manual covering when to use each button and what to do after pressing it.
